The Oktoberfest is the world's largest Volksfest (beer festival and travelling funfair). It is held annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. It is a 16 to 18 day folk festival running from mid- or late September to the first Sunday in October, with more than six million people from around the world attending the event every year. Locally, it is called d'Wiesn, after the colloquial name for the fairgrounds, Theresienwiese. The Oktoberfest is an important part of Bavarian culture, having been held since the year 1810. OktoBACKYARDfest brings the traditional Bavarian beer festival and travelling funfair to the Chateau Dane Biergarten. In addition to food, drinks, games, and activities, there will be hours of music, singing, and dancing! With DaneNY, you're in for unforgettable fun and surprises!

DaneNY is committed to creating a safe and fun environment for you to enjoy. OktoBACKYARDfest is an outdoor event with plenty of room for social distancing. Hand sanitizer will be located at all high touch areas. All CDC guidelines will be adhered to.

The Chateau Dane Biergarten opens at 1 PM EST. The party ends when the last attendee leaves (even if it's the next day)!

The Chateau Dane Biergarten is not fully enclosed, so the occasional wild animal may also pass through. Keep your distance, should this occur. Lily Dane, DaneNY's outdoor feline partner, will most likely make an appearance. Approach with caution.

After "Ein Prosit" plays, everyone raises their glasses and says, "Oans, zwoa, drei, Gsuffa!" which translates to, "1, 2, 3, drink!" You MUST sing this song and drink each time it is played. It's the law.
